Vacation Bible School 2017
August 7 - 11, 2017 we invite children pre-k through 6th grade to join us for Vacation Bible School. During this fun, interactive time, kids will explore their abilities in exciting ways that lead to the discovery that God created each of them as a masterpiece! The evenings will begin with dinner at 5:30 followed by the activities that will start at 6:00 p.m. (dinner is optional). Pick up will be at 8:15 p.m. If you plan to join us, please REGISTER your child(ren) here: http://bit.ly/2r2i4yY
"Dig In" to Wednesday
“Dig In” is a study for kids that takes a deep look into the life of Jesus through lessons, games, and crafts. This class will start at 6:30 after the regular meal time (6:00-6:30). Berea is offering two classes, one for kindergarten through third grade and one for fourth through sixth grade. We will have classes every Wednesday (starting Sept. 14th), and on weeks there is no full meal we will provide a hearty snack. Within each semester we will take breaks to get hands on and do mission projects. I hope your child comes and takes part in this awesome program.
Each Sunday morning during the 11:00 a.m. worship hour, young elementary students who are in Kindergarten through Third Grade, are invited to leave the sanctuary during the Offertory Music with our wonderful volunteers for a short time of learning, games, worship, and fun. Children are picked up from the Family Life Center, across the breeze way from the sanctuary.
Berea Backpack Program
We are collecting food to start a backpack program for students at South Anna Elementary school. We will bag up food in brown paper bags to go into kids backpacks for the weekend. The food we are collecting is on the flier below. The bins to bring things in are in the Sanctuary greeting area and Family Life Center hallway.
Remind is a texting app that will allow communication to be streamlined and divided by ministry group. To receive text updates for the group you are interested in just text the code on the flier below to the number listed (81010). This may take a little bit of adjusting as we have not used this program before, but I think it will be great.
